Q: Do I have to pay to book a slot at the Sport Chek Harbourfront FC?
No, our pitches and tournaments are completely free!
Q: Is the Sport Chek Harbourfront FC open to all ages?
Participation is open to individuals of all ages and all skill levels. Participants under the age of majority must have a parent or legal guardian complete the required waiver on their behalf prior to participation.
Q: How many players can I bring with me?
The Floating Futsal Pitch has a maximum capacity of 14 players on the pitch at one time. Teams or groups exceeding this capacity must rotate players using the designated viewing or substitution areas. The Jumpstart Community Pitch has a capacity of 22 players on the pitch at one time.
Q: Do all of my players need to complete the waiver?
Yes, each participant must complete and sign a participation waiver before entering the pitch. Participants under the age of majority must have a parent or legal guardian complete the waiver on their behalf. Participants who have not completed a waiver will not be permitted to participate.
Q: How long are the Open Pitch bookings?
Open Pitch bookings are for 60 minutes time slots. Participants must arrive on time to ensure full use of their booking.
Q: How long are the Mini Tournaments?
Each Tournament will host four teams of five players competing in a knockout bracket format. Each game consists of two 4.5-minute halves (9 minutes total), and each Tournament will take approximately two hours to complete. Tournaments start at 12:00pm or 2:00pm depending on the age group selected.
Q: When can I arrive on-site?
Please arrive at your booked time to avoid your booking being shortened due to scheduling constraints. A 15-minute grace period is provided; failure to arrive within this window may result in the booking being shortened or forfeited without guarantee of rebooking.
Q: What should I wear?
The Floating Futsal Pitch requires rubber soled footwear. Cleats are not permitted. Participants must dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. Soccer balls will be provided. Cleats are permitted on the Jumpstart Community Pitch. Water refill stations are available on site; participants are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. Need help gearing up? Q: Is my booking rain or shine?
The Floating Futsal Pitch may close due to inclement weather or other conditions deemed unsafe. If this occurs, your booking will be cancelled, and you will be notified as soon as reasonably possible using the contact details provided at registration. Rebooking options, if available, will be communicated at that time and are subject to capacity and scheduling constraints. Jumpstart Community Pitch bookings operate rain or shine and may only be cancelled due to weather or other conditions deemed unsafe. If a cancellation occurs, participants will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.
Q: Do I need to bring my own soccer ball?
No, soccer balls will be provided onsite.
Q: Will there be water provided onsite?
There will be water refill stations onsite so be sure to bring your own water bottle.
Q: Why did my booking get cancelled?
Sport Chek’s biggest priority is the safety of our guests. Sport Chek reserves the right, at its discretion, to delay, modify, or cancel any booking where conditions are deemed unsafe, including due to weather, equipment issues, or participant conduct.
Q: Can I cancel my booking?
Participants may cancel their booking using the cancellation link provided in the confirmation email. Cancelled bookings may be released to other participants.
Q: What happens if I was waitlisted for my booking?
If you were waitlisted, that means that time slot was already booked. Should the original booking cancel, the waitlist will be moved to confirmed bookings in accordance with the waitlist position. Confirmed booking is not guaranteed.
Q: Are bookings transferable?
Bookings are non transferable and may only be used by the registered participants.
Q: What is the code of conduct at the Sport Chek Harbourfront FC?
Participants must follow all posted rules, staff instructions, and safety guidelines. Sport Chek reserves the right to remove any participant for unsafe, disruptive, or inappropriate behaviour.
Q: Will there be photography and filming on-site?
The event may be photographed or recorded. By participating, you acknowledge that images or recordings may be used by Sport Chek for promotional or informational purposes, subject to the terms of the participation waiver.
